Sign up to take future actions to help fight racism in housing
The housing emergency is having a huge impact across the whole of society, but Black people and other People of Colour are even more likely to be homeless.
With the far right on the rise and divisions being provoked, it's more important than ever that we stand up for everyone's right to a home. No matter their race or ethnicity.
You should never have to face homelessness because of your ethnicity. It is a disgrace.
That’s why you should join our campaign for a fairer housing system.
If we want everyone to be able to access a safe and secure home, we need to make sure that the housing system treats people equitably. But we can only achieve this through collective action.
The more of us who take a stand against those in power, the more pressure they’ll be under to make change. And we know this works.
Our campaigning has already started to make a difference. For example, over 10,000 people signed an open letter last year to the Secretary of State for Housing demanding a fairer housing system. This pressure helped to secure a key milestone: the government announced that staff working at the heart of social housing management will soon have to be qualified in equality, diversity and inclusion.
But there’s more to be done.
By signing up you’ll receive campaign updates and all the latest actions you can take to hold those in power to account. This might include asking you to sign petitions and open letters, or write to decision makers.
By doing this, you can help take the fight for a fairer housing system to the next level.
Together, we can fight for a housing system that works for everyone, no matter their ethnicity.
