How will scrapping section 21 reform renting?

Thanks for telling us how passionate you are about scrapping section 21!

Scrapping Section 21 'no fault' evictions will relieve renters from the constant fear of eviction, so they can freely exercise their renting rights.

Right now, they're putting up with anything from negligence to dangerous living conditions, afraid to complain to their landlord in case they are evicted. There isn’t a limitless supply of properties to enable a renter to skip off and live somewhere else.

The Renters’ Reform Bill promises to scrap Section 21 and give renters the security they deserve. But it must end all unfair evictions by making sure that there are no loopholes for landlords to exploit.

By standing with our campaign, you're helping us show those in power that renters need it now.

What to do if you’re served a Section 21 notice?

If you’re a private renter worried about losing your home, make sure you know your rights. If your landlord has served a section 21, there are rules they must follow. If they have not done things properly, you can challenge eviction. Read and share our guide to Section 21 evictions.
