Right now, too many landlords and letting agents are still discriminating against renters.
People who receive benefits or have kids are coming up against blanket bans on renting homes, and are sometimes rejected from even viewing them.
They’re also facing discriminatory affordability asks that make it even harder to find a home. This impacts families, single parents, Black households, Bangladeshi households and disabled people the most.
The Renters Reform Bill is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fix this.
