We all need somewhere safe to call home. But for so many families, it isn’t the reality.
For 15 months, Angela and Kardinell were homeless and sofa surfing with friends. Kardinell went to school in the morning not knowing where he’d sleep that night, leaving him stressed and sad. Angela knew she needed extra support for her and her son, so she came to us.
We gave Kardinell someone to talk to about the worries he was facing. And helped Angela to work with her local council to find somewhere safe to live.

When they moved in, we made sure they had the basics needed to make their new house a home.
Kardinell was thrilled – he said the house was the best thing that’s ever happened to him! Now he's able to focus on school, and not worry about where he'll be sleeping at night.
But so many more families need your help. At the beginning of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, 90 families became homeless every day. Please give what you can to help us continue our vital work, and help bring an end to homelessness.
